SUMMER 2024 is winding down but that doesn't mean the fun is over!!! Carolina Beach has loads of great stuff going on year round. From the Boardwalk rides to the brand new indoor and outdoor mini golf courses, there is still so much for the whole family to enjoy!!!

Carolina Beach does it up all year round! You don't want to miss these fun events and find out why this is the favorite time of years for the island locals!

Carolina Beach Inshore Fishing Challenge - Sept 7. Let's see how big this year's winning Red Drum is!

Dragon Boat Regatta - Sept 20-21. Kicks off with a concert Friday night, races are Saturday morning with awards ceremony that evening. Teams and boats are decked out in creative costumes...good stuff!

Pets in the Park - Oct 5. All things fun and furry. The costume contest is my personal favorite.

Wilmington Riverfest - Oct 5-6. Annual festival in downtown Wilmington boasts all sorts of vendors, food trucks, performances and more. This year, for the first time, there will be a DRONE SHOW with lights instead of the usual fireworks display! Exciting stuff!

Pleasure Island Surf Fishing Challenge - Oct 19-20. Don't need a boat for this one! Cast your line and see what you hook!

North Carolina Kite Festival - Nov 1-3. Friday night starts things off with a night flight in Carolina Beach at the Boardwalk. A dj spins tunes while kites light up the sky. Then Sat and Sun the event moves to Kure Beach where you can see kites of all shapes and sizes while enjoying a picnic lunch or hitting one of the food trucks.

Carolina Beach Christmas Parade / Holiday Floatilla - Dec 6-7. This Friday night small-town parade is anything but small! From marching bands to floats, horses & llamas draped in lights, Shriner's race cars and more, this event SLEIGHS with Santa and his crew!!! Saturday night, the parade moves to the channel with boats of all sizes decked out and lit up. Vote for your favorite! And don't miss the Holiday Market at the Lake on Saturday morning. Local vendors will have all sorts of wares that would be perfect and unique gifts for your holiday shopping: jewelry, art, soaps, foods, furniture and more!

New Year's Eve - Dec 31. Why sit home watching a ball drop on TV when you can come watch the ball drop on CB?!? Yes, you read that right. We have our very own ball drop, live music and party to end 2024 and start 2025 right!!!

St. Patrick's Day Lo Tide Run - March 15. This annual charity event has really taken off. True runners love participating in a marathon that actually has a leg ON THE BEACH. For those of us that only run if something awful is chasing us lol, there is a fun walk! Get your best green on and walk for a great cause.

As if all that isn't enough to keep you busy, we are super excited that we have several great new restaurants that have opened up as well: The Tropical, Puffy's Magic Dragon, The Sandspur and Seaworthy are fabulous new additions to the old favorites Lake Park Steakhouse, Shuckin' Shack, Hurricane Alley, Michael's Seafood and Havana's to name a few.

Plenty of good times still to be had! Plan ahead and book your stay today for your dose of sun, sand and fun with less heat and humidity!!!

Cape Fear Kite Festival! An annual must-see event for the whole family!

easy Breezy at the Boardwalk! steps from the Carnival Rides & Restaurants.

Location is everything at our Driftwood Villas condo. Park your car and plan on walking everywhere you want to go. There are plenty of great restaurants, shops, arcades and rides within just a few short blocks. The Lake with it's Farmer/Artisan's Market during summer and light display during the winter holidays is a short stroll away. The condo has a swimming pool (opened seasonally) and one off-street parking space. The nearby Hamlet beach access is one of the best surf breaks on the island and is home of the Annual Whomperana Surf Contest. Being right at the Ocean Rescue Station means always having that extra security that comes from swimming near a lifeguard.
